    Start in your Median account

Sign in to Median to see your company workspace and any setup tasks assigned to you. The tasks shown depend on your company and your role.

    Work through Your setup

If Your setup is available, open each item marked for you and save the information or connection it requests. Your list may include Business basics, Banks and cards, Payment processors, Payroll, Documents and receipts, Your existing books, and Fill in your history.

A connection or completed setup item does not by itself mean bookkeeping is complete or reports are ready. Median shows separate progress for work handled by your accounting team. Some report views stay unavailable until the company is ready for reporting.

    1. Review the business and entity details shown in Business basics.
    2. Connect the bank or card accounts requested for the company. Use the account selection step to exclude personal accounts where offered.
    3. Complete the processor, payroll, documents, existing-books, and history items that appear for your company.
    4. Check the status shown in Your setup. If an item is assigned to your accountant or asks Median to follow up, leave it for that owner and continue with other available items.

Know when a task is complete

Use the status shown beside each setup item as your confirmation. For example, QuickBooks displays its connection and import status separately from whether books have been posted. If a task reports an error or remains pending, the connection is not confirmed as complete.

Get help with a blocked step

Open Inbox in Median and start a thread with the task name and the message shown on screen. Include the company or entity and the period involved when it helps explain the issue. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
