    Connect bank and card accounts

Use the Banks and cards setup task to connect an institution and choose which returned accounts to include.

    Who can connect accounts

Bank and card connections are read only and use Plaid. The connection is completed in the signed-in owner setup. If you are helping as a delegate, ask the owner to finish Banks and cards.

    Connect an institution

    1. Open Your setup and choose Banks and cards.
    2. Choose your institution from the list or search for it.
    3. Continue in Plaid and authenticate with your financial institution there. Your login is not given to Median.
    4. When the accounts return to Median, review the account names. Mark personal accounts for exclusion where the setup screen offers that choice.
    5. Save the current choices to finish the task. Repeat the institution connection for any additional accounts you need to add.

    Check the result

Median displays the accounts returned by the connection flow. A successful connection is not a promise that every account at the institution is supported or that older activity is available. Follow any status or error displayed in the setup screen.

If the connection does not finish

    • If you close or cancel Plaid before it returns to Median, start the connection again from Banks and cards.
    • If Median says the bank was not connected, close the Plaid window and retry. If the same error appears, send its text to your accountant in Inbox.
    • If the task says it is unavailable in this environment, no bank was connected. Continue with other setup items and ask your accountant for the next step.
