A year of books, built for them.

Curve had no prior bookkeeper. Median built a full, investor-ready year of books with almost no lift from the founder.

No books, no time to keep them, a raise on the horizon.

Curve is a Forum Ventures-backed software startup led by CEO Greg Mayer. It came to Median with no prior bookkeeping in place and a full year of activity to account for.

The company had been moving fast, without a close handle on where its money was going. With a possible capital raise on the horizon, Curve needed a real set of books and a Profit and Loss statement it could stand behind in an investor data room, without the founder having to become a bookkeeper to get there.

Connected the stack, and did the rest.

    • Connected Curve’s Mercury, Stripe, and Ramp accounts through Plaid and Stripe Connect, and integrated Gmail so bills, receipts, and contracts were pulled in automatically, with nothing to dig up or forward.

    • Ran onboarding almost entirely hands-off: view-only access to the accounts meant the founder never sent a statement or chased down a file.

    • Built a full year of books as a real, structured set of accounts rather than a spreadsheet of transactions.

    • Sorted every transaction so spending is grouped the way the founder actually thinks about the business.

    • Pulled the full year together into a year-end financial package the CEO confirmed was investor-ready.

“Until working with Median, our books were a black box. The platform gave us a real, granular view of where the money was going, and cutting unnecessary spend became obvious. For a startup managing capital tightly between rounds, that visibility is the difference between guessing and knowing.”

A full year of investor-ready books, built almost entirely for them.

Onboarding and upkeep took almost none of the founder’s time.

    One set of books

Mercury, Stripe, and Ramp consolidated into a single source of truth.
